This unit looks like a professional popcorn maker but in a much neater package. It's a great conversation piece as well. I do recommend this product. I have heard people talk about the cost of the refills, but I actually buy my refills on Amazon and they also sell these little popcorn bags like you get at the movie theater cheap which is fun for parties or entertaining.

Poor quality

I was excited to use it during football games or family game night. When I unboxed it the maker had physical damage from shipping. Returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for another one. Once the new one arrived it worked for 1 batch of popcorn. The 1st batch took about 15 minutes before it finally popped. Went to make a second batch of popcorn and the kettle wasn't even warm to the touch any more. Turned it off for a few minutes and turned it back on and it still wasn't getting warm. Returned the product and exchanged it for a different brand maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

- A:Answer After 2 or 3 ;poppings, I use a warm paper towel and wipe the inside of the popper and the kettle, which takes a little more effort than an air popper.

- A:Answer It comes pretty much assembled, it's just a matter of plugging in the popper and placing it in its cradle, then just screw in the handle. Two minutes tops.
