Good toaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this toaster to match the stainless appliances we bought a few weeks prior. I was usually in the school of "buy the cheapest toaster you can find and, when it dies, buy another one." I had never spent more than $20 on a toaster in my life. My wife talked me into this one even though I really didn't want to spend $50. After all, it's just a toaster. I've been pleasantly surprised with it, though. My wife doesn't like keeping the toaster on the counter all the time, so the retractable power cord is nice for when it is stored in a bottom cabinet. The digital count-down timer is very nice, too, because with cheaper toasters, you never really know how long you have until its done. Using this feature, you can easily multitask and have everything ready at once. Otherwise, it works just as a toaster should. If this one lasts a few years, I'll be happy. I'll probably buy another when this one decides to not work anymore. I would recommend it.

why not 5 stars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is that when you toast something it doesn't seem to toast the same on both sides. Doesn't which slot you use. One side of the toast comes out probably half the crispness as the side that is perfect. Even adjusting the darkness dial doesn't help the matter. Otherwise I LOVE MY TOASTER. I have always wanted one that had the retractable cord - such a treat. And the appliance doesn't get hot to the touch while I'm using it. My old toaster was a wedding gift in 1969 - yes, that's the correct date. It still works but I thought I deserved some perks at this time: retractable cord, toast bagels, toast something right out of the freezer ..... and that works! And it's so pretty with my new stainless kitchen.

Cool technology
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the looks, the timer to know how many minutes or seconds are left for the toast! I like the ability to lift up the toast higher when it's done to retrieve. The only thing that's odd is it seems a little wobbly, its not sitting firm on the counter like the 4 little stands undeneath aren't the same size and they cannot be adjusted to balance the toaster..not a big deal but would have liked be to able to adjust it. It may just be my toaster (its not my counter, the last toaster didn't do this).

Countdown to Toast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this wasn't very expensive, it's stylish, but my favorite thing is probably the countdown LEDs on the side. It shows how many minutes are left then counts down from 60 for you. This sounds crazy, I know, but I hate being surprised when toasters pop. I used to stand there and hit the cancel button early so it wouldn't make me jump on my old toaster. Now I KNOW when it's going to go off! Oh, and it toasts evenly. Bread goes in, toast comes out. You can't explain that!

Great toaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the toaster. My kids love being able to see how much longer they're toast or waffles will be. The timer is a feature I didn't really think I needed but love. The retractable cord is also nice. I have a small kitchen and just wish it was slimmer or smaller due to limited counter space.

Standard toaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This toaster does a good job or toasting bread and bagels. You turn the dial to choose how light or dark you want it and the toaster counts down how long it will take, 1, 2, 3, or 4 minutes. You can cancel the time if you need to and you can press the frozen button, if your bread or pastry is frozen.

Super Toaster with the most er
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey . . . it toasts toast . . . it does a pretty good job of it too . The controls adjusts a nice blue LED readout of the timer . . . and so it's up to you to decide how toasty you want your breads & it does it . I recommend you check it before toasting to make sure your spouse didn't set you up to burn . . . because it does give you what you choose . And then Have a Great Day .

It's a toaster, what can I say?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very good toaster... does its job well. Has a neat little digital timer display which actually comes in handy on occasion. One warning, though: Make sure you run it through one toasting cycle before using (as stated in the manual). It smells bad on that first run, but after that, all is cool. I would consider buying this Oster Toaster again someday.

Q: QuestionDoes the toaster have a buzzer or bell to signal when time is up? If so, is it excessively loud?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, it doesn't have a buzzer, but you can watch the electronic timer to see the countdown from start to finish, so you will know when the toasting has been completed.
