A: Yes it is two pieces. The flexible rubber goes on first, followed by the hard shell. I just posted a review about this, and specifically cite how I'd prefer the flexible portion to fit much more snugly than it does. The material feels cheaper than Otterbox used to use, and it's noticeable.
