Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Let me get the positives out of the way, This is a Great looking stealth Blu-ray player. Pretty quiet as well. The picture quality it delivers is on point but I have seen some weird artifacts on standard 1080p video. But 4k Blu-ray looks amazing! I previously was watching 4k Blu-ray's on my Xbox one S and I have an Lg OLED 65 inch tv...didn't look impressive at all. but with this player, it looks awesome.. But that's where the positives about this player end. Because the interface feels like you stepped back into 1997 DVD players. The remote is kind of clunky and has a TON of buttons that most will never use. And also the one thing that really throws me off about this player is the lack of any notification in the front panel... I just don't understand that. Between the slow startup time and no heads up display on the player, I'm left sitting there for over a minute sometimes just looking at a black screen and wondering when something will pop up because you see the red light and you hear the disc being read but that's it.

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5It has HDR 10+. But what I like about it is its one of the smallest players on the market, even smaller than the X700. And the bonus, unlike the X700, it doesn't have a giant brick of a power supply. It's just a standard 2 prong cord. It's pretty quiet, does seem to get warm on the right side, even when turned off it stays a bit warm which is odd. I have two of these, both do the same thing. One new, the other open box. I agree with the other reviewer that gave it 4 stars for having a dated user interface from the 90s. And the remote isn't a Smart remote, i.e. bluetooth with less buttons. But the unit pairs well with my Samsung QLED tv so I just use the Samsung remote. I haven't noticed any delay when starting up, but then again I'm use to Panasonic's older DVD recorder units which were dirt slow. For the money, I think this is the best HDR 10+ unit on the market based on my research. Some people want a counter display but you can get that info by using the remote or even the TV remote. The smart features to me are moot. It has Netflix, but I think most people will have either a smart tv, Apple TV or something smarter. I used Netflix on it once and after an hour it crashed. I won't be using that feature so not a deal breaker. That was firmware 1.60. There's nothing super advance about this unit other than the Blu-ray playback. Of course it doesn't have Dolby Vision, but then again Samsung doesn't do DV so that's not something I'd use. One word of warning, if you buy an Open Box item online that is in Excellent condition, i.e. no scratches, you may end up getting one in fair condition like I did. BB credited me a measly 8% which was disappointing to say the least. Pay the extra money and get a non-open one. It gets 4 stars just because the interface is dated and lacks DV.

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I have had quite a few 4k players but this is the best of them all. It doesn't have dolby vision but this one really makes the hdr shine with the hdr optimizer. It seems to me, to be just as good as dolby vision. It runs quite and loads quickly.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This Panasonic has excellent picture quality. It's very limited and slow in the streaming department. But I dont plan on using it for that. Produces a great picture for 4k and regular blu-ray discs. Only supports hdr10+ no dolby vision. But I dont have dolby vision on my projector anyway.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I bought this player after having a mostly mediocre experience with a Sony 4k player. With the Sony the picture wasn't that great, movies looked okay and audio was its biggest issue. The player didn't project audio very well, no matter what I tried dialogue wasn't clear and would often be muddied out with special effects and background noises. I tried everything! Every setting on the player, my sound bar and my TV. But nothing worked, I happen to be in Best Buy looking for an HDMI cable and stumbled on this Panasonic player. Back in my childhood I remember Panasonic was the go brand! They produced a superior product compared to Sony and most other companies. I went ahead and picked up the box which put a smile on my face and brought back memories of my Dad's home theater system which was mostly Panasonic components. I decided to give this Panasonic player a try and well.....Oh my God what have I been missing all these years! The picture is super clean and sharp, the colors look amazing and the audio! It's so well balanced and even! I've literally touched nothing with the audio and it sounds perfect! There's so many settings to play with so I have to learn what they all do. But if you're serious about audio and video this player is a MUST HAVE! Oh and one more this is player also doesn't use one of the bulky power bricks like the Sony uses. It's just a regular plug which saves space. So don't skip over this Panasonic player, they haven't lost their edge like Sony has. They still make an amazing product!

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Performance is excellent, not as many features in higher priced units but if you want 4k playback without all the bells and whistles this performs very well. Panasonic's conversion of 4k to 1080p is accomplished very well.
