Philips - Refurbished 7" Widescreen Portable DVD Player with Dual Screens

Got the unit surprisingly quick given my rural location. The unit worked right out of the box with easy install. However, the second display unit turned off on its own without a warning or reason. Messed with the power switch (turned it off and back on) managed to get it on, but it went off again. Needless to say, the refurb team did not do their job and I had to return the unit. The unit read the burnt disc alright but the lag time was little annoying (for my 3 yr old especially).

i bought a refurbished dvd player and first time using it the second screen kept turning off and showing the movie in a grid of four. It obviously was not fixed. I would not advise buying a refurbished item. They did return it though with no hassle.

Very awesome product. My kids loved watching the movies when we went on vacation. It was very easy to set up in the truck and great product for the price. The only thing that it was missing was that it wasn't wireless. I hate dealing with cords. But other than that it was a fabulous product for the kids.

I was hoping that since this unit was supposed to have been looked at really weel due to being refurbished that I would have no issues. It had one. The picture is great. Brightness very good on both screens. Good sound for a small unit. Easy to use for the most part except the front button are a bit hard to hit right when you are trying to do it from the front. No remote but that is ok. The problem is that my van has constant on power outlets. When you start the car nothing should happen but the extra screen would go out. Not sure the deal but I don't want anything else to go wrong so I sent it back. It also has only the 90 day warantee even though it says a full year on the site. That needs to be changed. I may try another one but not sure. The cords could be longer too. Mounting was fine and easy to adjust.

I never turned the unit on, I returned because of the condition the unit was in. I know it was referb, but WOW i think the original owner drug it through rocks and they put a new screen it and sent it back out. My wife hated it and refused to use it. I have had to have items replace before that were referb but the case was atleast new and void of any defects, gouges, or trenches. I went and bought the brand new out of the box and am very satisfied, my 4yr old works with no issues. Just wish there was a remote.

We had this set for approx 3 months. Used maybe 4 times... The other reviews are correct. The lcd screen went out. we took it back and no refund or exchange can be given. The only way to get the problem solved is by the manufacturer. Thank goodness the Cust Serv form the maker is above par and exceeded our expectations. BB may have lost a customer due to the lack of customer support. Beware, when you buy this and something happens, you have to deal via email, chat, and mail directly with the maker.

I bought it refrurished and when I received, it was not reading the dvds.
