Excellent Product
|Posted .I wanted to buy something that fits my space and also gets me best sound experience. I am happy that i bought this one after comparing it with many other products in the market (Bose, sony, samsung etc) The best part of this product- all kinds of connectivity options - hdmi, 3.5mm, optical, bluetooth, wifi - I did not see so many ports in any products in this category (small form factor). I would recommend it any day over any other product for its quality, audio experience, connectivity options and audio experience.

No compromises
|Posted .Great soundbar. I was really pleased with the performance of this little machine. The sub isnt as punchy as some of the others I have used in the past but it works well in my living room. The main speaker is only about a foot long so it fit nicely in the cubby hole where most folks would put a game console/satellite box. I dont feel like I am missing out at all by going with this over a full length bar.

Great Soundbar Upgrade
Posted .Pros mentioned:Price, Set up, SizeThe setup for the Polk Audio - 2.0-Channel Soundbar System with 6-1/2" Subwoofer and Digital Amplifier was a breeze. There are only two components to handle, the soundbar itself, and the bluetooth subwoofer. The subwoofer just requires the power cable, which is detachable. The soundbar requires the power cable plus your choice of audio source: HDMI (ARC), Optical Cable, or Auxiliary cable, all of which are included in the box. The key feature of this soundbar is it’s size and available options of entertainment. I connected the soundbar using the included HDMI cable to my 3D TV. Though my 3D TV has 4 HDMI inputs, only one of them was labeled (ARC) like the soundbar. This allowed me to use only the HDMI cable and control everything with one remote. I love this feature because now, I don’t need to be changing inputs on the TV to raise or lower the volume. I can do it all with one remote and without the optical cable, so it reduces clutter. The soundbar itself comes with pre-installed Google Chromecast software. I got it to recognize the test sounds while setting it up but it failed to update the first time. After resetting the wifi on the soundbar, I was able to finalize the update, but none of the apps I have recognized the Google Chromecast as being an option to cast to. My standalone Chromecast was recognizable, so the issue is with the Google Chromecast within the soundbar. Since I already have a Google Chromecast, it didn’t affect me as much, but it’s a feature that the soundbar touts on the box, so be wary of that. Perhaps a future update may fix that. The performance of this soundbar is great. First of all, from all the soundbars I’ve owned (4 total), this one is by far the smallest and the loudest to date. It gives a really good punch, especially when watching TV shows or movies with action. It has a volume dial for speaking characters on screen. As a hard of hearing person, I decided to raise that volume up and it works! I didn’t even put captions on the screen, as I usually do, to hear what the people on screen are saying. The night mode also does a good job of playing the audio loud enough for you to hear but not too loud so as to not wake up nearby neighbors. This soundbar meets my expectations. All the features that I’ve mentioned previously make this a worthy buy. To take full advantage, check if your TV has at least one (ARC) HDMI input. It should be clearly labeled where you connect your HDMI cables on your TV. It is disappointing that the Google Chromecast feature didn’t work right off the bat, but if that’s not something you want, then this bad boy will save you plenty of shelf space. The price for the soundbar in terms of value makes it one of the most accessible soundbars to date. The fact that you can control the TV and the soundbar with one remote (using the HDMI ARC feature) makes the price feel worth it. This is doubled up when you consider it’s actually a loud soundbar with neat options like bluetooth connectivity and the use of optical cables. I have to deduct two stars because setting up the Google Chromecast wasn’t easy, and when I finally got it to set up, it didn’t work. I’m used to setting up things with Google Chromecast, as tech is my forte. Everything else is simple to do. I highly recommend this product for people who want to have one less cable to connect, want to use one remote to control your TV and Soundbar at the same time, and want a more than decent soundbar sound system that can impress anyone who listens to it. Also, if concealing the soundbar is a concern of yours, this tiny device will be your dream come true. Since the subwoofer is wireless, you can set that and hide it anywhere in the room that you want.

Great power in a little package
Posted .Pros mentioned:Price, Size, Sound qualityCons mentioned:InputsWhen I first got the box, I could feel the weight more toward one side of the box. From previous experiences, I thought the subwoofer was packing a good amount of weight. Well, imagine my shock when I realized the bulk of that weight was coming from the soundbar. It is clearly packing some quality speakers. As you can see in the picture, the weight is packed in a small package. However, that size is not an indicator of its abilities though. I have found the performance to be very good whether I was watching TV, playing games, or streaming from other devices. Since I have an older TV, I think the quality could be even better when I upgrade that. Getting back to the specifics of the Polk Magnifi Mini Sound Bar, I found the WiFi, Bluetooth, and Chromecast connections all work well and with little effort to connect them. I was able to stream via all of those methods with great quality. The only issue that I had with connections was the use of my TV remote to the sound bar. I tried to follow the directions several times, but I couldn't get it to connect. I reviewed the included guides and online materials a few times and still couldn't solve it with those. Ultimately, I love this device with it's size, performance, and price point taken into account. I also love how it blends into my setup and provides the sound I need to enjoy movies, sports, and music. With that being said, here are some pros and cons to help to the value and what can be better. Pros: 1. For most of your connecting points or options, they have provided them for you. The only one missing is the ethernet cable if you prefer that route over the WiFi. 2. The Soundbar is small. but contains enough speaker power to overcome that. 3. The subwoofer is wireless and the connection is established from the time you open the box. This thing really bumps when the right content is being played. The family loves feeling the vibration from time to time. 4. We are an Android house and the ability to use Chromecast is a huge plus. I really think this tool is a winner for Google Home. 5. The ability to elevate the voice over the ambient sounds. The Night mode and dedicated voice controls work well when you need to hear the dialogue over everything else. Cons: 1. I do like the ability to control the voice, but it would be nice to not sacrifice the bass at times. An equalizer with more detail would result in better performance of course. 2. The inability to get the remote from my TV service to control the volume for the Magnifi Mini Sound bar was a bummer. Nobody likes the multiple remote game. 3. If it wasn't for my TV stand, I would have been lost with a wall-mounted TV. I would have had to find a stand to place it on or a mounted a shelf for it.

a lot of sound in this little package
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Price, SizeI couldn't wait to try out this sound bar in my master bedroom. I have it paired up with a 40" TV and my room is 20' x 18'. You get everything you need to get started, but the included cables are not of the highest quality, but it really is a very nice addition. You get a HDMI, digital optical audio cable, and a regular audio cable in case you need them. The remote also comes with batteries so you are good to go right from the start. The build quality seems very good on these units. The main unit is small, but has some weight to it and it puts out very good sound for its size. Highs sound great and the lows sound great as well with the wireless sub woofer. I didn't really notice mids that much, but I didn't miss it either. I am not an audiophile, so someone who is might have more to say about the specifics of the sound quality. I do enjoy the sound it puts out and it fills my master bedroom just fine. The remote is a little funky to use at first, but you can control the lows, highs and total volume with three different rows of buttons on it. Night mode works very well and it really comes in handy when I want to watch a movie after I put the little ones to bed, it will quickly turn down the bass for me. It has google cast built it and that is a very nice feature that works very well. I have also connected the speaker up to my Amazon dot for streaming music. The price and size are just right for someone looking for a speaker solution with a small footprint and big sound.

Bedroom theater in a box !
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Bass, Size, Sound qualityWe had to upgrade all of our electronics in our house due to an electrical storm. New tv, new everything. I wanted to add a sound bar and a 4K player so I went shopping. BB had a pre Black Friday sale.. I got it cheap ! Sound great in our bedroom, I have a full blown theater downstairs so I didn’t want to go crazy. Bass is good, crisp highs, never have a problem hearing dialogue. Surround is good but it simulated.. keep in mind.. but works good if we are in bed, it’s perfect for us. Pairing is a bit of a pain, just take your time.. it’ll pair on 3-4 try. A few time it wanted to be the modem, and you lose internet access, just do a search and choose the correct network and your set. We both like the compact size, it’s not big and bulky. Wife likes it, she calls it her theater since mine is downstairs. Whatever.

Q: QuestionAGAIN, The Sub and SoundBar refuse to connect after a brief period of not in use. Does anyone out there have a one time solution to sync the Sub and bar that really works? It seems to be a huge Issue with this product, and no, I can not return it.

Q: QuestionI recently bought an LG SJ9 Soundbar. I have a Visio TV about 4 years old. I have no receiver and am using the soundbar, alone, with only the TV. My question is how this works with ATMOS sound? The sound is good, but not like surround sound.
Asked by Frog.
- A:Answer As far as this producing "terrible" surround sound, that is a very subjective thing to say. Surround sound is not an exact science mainly because most of the sounds from movies are added in after scenes are shot. Maybe concerts with Dolby are different story but surround setup is still usually different for every person. In my opinion, this soundbar does a better job than many. It is made specifically to enhance dialogue in a smallish room setting while still giving a virtual surround experience. This bar does NOT do ATMOS, only plain old 5.1 Dolby Digital. And you have to feed it exactly Dolby Digital 5.1 or the surround virtualization will not work properly.

Q: QuestionCan this be used in a home with no WiFi and no internet connection?
Asked by GardenGal73.
- A:Answer Yes you can use it just connecting the Tv or Bluetooth, you don’t need internet for that, and the Wireless Sub means that they are connected each other in a “no wires” small range, and they are connected each other by default, just plug them into the electricity and that’s it! No internet need it, I hope it helps!
