A: Best Buy sent me an email in hopes that I could answer your question. Wish I could. I did not hook up the sound bar directly to my tv. I used a Denon receiver surround system that has the left, right, and center speakers for the sound bar wired directly. Then a HDMI cable from the TV port on the receiver to the HDMI (ARC) port on the tv. I was suggest calling the Tech Squad and talk with them

Sound Bar for my TV
For the price, I was expecting more. But it was recommended so I buy it. But my first priority is Bose sound bar 900.

Great sound from and more than I expected
I had great tower speakers before and just moved and for aesthetic reasons had to get rid of them and was worried about being able to produce enough quality sound. This speaker bar exceeded my expectations and sounds really good. Not too far off from my high end tower speakers.
