Q: Can this vacuum be used on wood floors?
A: Absolutely! I work in a restaurant and we have this vacuum. This is the second one I purchased for home use and it works great on hardwood, tile, and carpets. It's easy to clean and low maintenance. My only suggestion is that you do not suck up large items because they can get stuck in the inner hoses.
Q: Can I wash the foam filters and the dust bin on my Shark?
A: Hello, We would like you to know that the filters for the Shark Navigator® NV26 Bagless Upright Vacuum are washable. To wash them, rinse the filters under running tap water until the water runs clear. Squeeze filters and let air-dry for 24 hours before replacing. Do not wash in dishwasher or washing machine. Q: does this vacuum have a belt? and if so how to put it on
A: Hello Lisa, We are happy to confirm that the Shark Navigator® NV26 Bagless Upright Vacuum does have a belt in the floor nozzle to make the brushroll spin. With this being said, the belt is not replaceable. Shark Navigator®’s intelligent electronic system will shut off the power nozzle motor to avoid belt wear if the brushroll is blocked by a large object, such as a sock or carpet edge. Simply turn off the power, remove the obstruction, and return to vacuuming. There are no belt maintenance or replacement costs to worry about. We hope this information helps.
