Me experience is that the responses are too sensitive. I have played with a GT Thrustmaster 300 and the PS4 Dualshock but to not much luck. I have adjusted controller sensitivity, played with assists (TC, SM, ABS, etc.) both on and off as well as in varying combinations and can never really get a good feeling set-up. The included Race Engineer can only help so much, and some of the cars aren't very adjustable (I'm looking at you Ginetta!). I have played lots of racing games (including Project Cars 1) and am typically an "above average" racer but but at times (right car on right track) I feel unstoppable online (its pretty rare but does happen). In this game sometimes I struggle to even bring the car home... I feel like this could be a great game... looks good, seems realistic, plenty of car and track variety... I just can't get it to work for me very well, so apparently this game is not for me... So that's why I give 4 out of 5 stars b/c I feel part of this is my fault, but I think some updates could help. Currently wouldn't recommend to a friend based on my experiences and the other great racers out or coming out this year. Currently Playing Forza 7 on Pro drivatar difficulty and usually getting 1st. Will be picking up GT Sport today, was able to come out pretty good on the demo races here too (had to do some of the event maybe 10 times or so to get 1st, but I could get there).

I'm in the minority I guess but I actually really like the handling on gamepad. I can correct from over steer, unroll the wheel properly coming out of a turn, and brake and throttle with comfort. I've always liked the project cars career, and in project cars 2 it's been fun so far. Unfortunately the AI still leaves a lot to be desired, and I've typically been faced with poor connections in multiplayer settings (despite having fast internet). I think it could've been a perfect game that is unfortunately hindered by some frame rate issues, inconsistent AI and at the moment spotty multiplayer connections. I still thoroughly enjoy it though, hopefully it gets better with time.

I waited on this tittle as I did not like what people were saying about the state of the game after release. I also did not like the way SMS left pCARS 1 with many bugs unresolved. Now with the latest updates to pCARS 2 it is a really enjoyable title and I now agree they have done a wonderful job. The physics and FFB are close to or equal but different to Assetto Corsa which is my baseline. pCARS 2 just has so much more to do in it and many more features. If you have a ps4 pro and an FFB wheel it is just even better!

My favorite game genre has always been SimCade racers. I have played all of the Gran Turismo series and several of the Forza games. Project Cars 2 is closer to the sim side of the Sim/Arcade spectrum. Has a bit of a learning curve, but very fun once you get dialed in. If you are looking for an Arcade racer like NFS or Burnout this probably won't be your game of choice. However if you love fine tuning your race cars and the experience of competing on different race teams you will enjoy the game.

As good as gran turismo is, it’s nice to not have to worry about winning and getting money in order to build/buy a legit race car. You put in the disc, pick a car and drive. That simple. It’s much better playing with a wheel and pedal setup opposed to controller. Online is amazing and there’s a Facebook page for tournaments and series events!!! If you can’t afford to race in reality, this is the next best thing.

Let me start off by saying that this is a Sim Racing game. It is by no means easy, but with that being said Project Cars 2 is insanely realistic, addicting and fun. I dabbled a bit into the career mode, but mostly been spending my time online. You race against a lot of respectable fellow racers who race clean. The tracks are a lot of fun, the cars have a lot of liveries to pick from. My one main grip is the sound issue, it seems to me the sound overall is too low of a volume.

I wish I could like this game more, but I'm constantly annoyed that I can't brake fast enough, can't turn well enough, and can't catch up to the pack if I brake early enough. I feel like this game was designed for a steering wheel, not a controller. If I had a ton of time to spend on the game, I'd probably get to the point of enjoying it more, but with my limited time for games, I just find it frustrating.

I picked this game up because of all its positive reviews. At first it was uncontrollable with a Thrustmaster T150 wheel. After researching online I found some videos that recommended different settings. They were major changes, but worked like a charm! Still a very challenging game, but being a simulator, even with one little mistake you're sliding off the track. Definitely worth a try!
