You could run only one additional monitor without having to use items like USB adapters. But each monitor puts a strain on the GPU, I would not recommend running more than the built in display and one other monitor. You would likely get very low frame even running just those. I would look into a desktop computer to get the best experience.

It would seem like this laptop is certainly capable or running 3 monitors together in addition to the internal display. I see this laptop includes an HDMI port, a mini-Display port and a USB-C port. The HDMI and mini-display port should be connected to the NVIDIA Geforce 1060 graphics card inside allowing two additional displays right there. Then, with the USB-C port, you should be able to connect another two (2) monitors to that, with a USB-C to HDMI/Display Port adaptor, which will be running on the Intel UHD Graphics 630 adapter. Intel allows a maximum of 3 monitors or displays, NVIDIA allows for two. I certainly hope this is correct and HP did not do something entirely different and stupid like connect the HDMI and Mini-Display Port to the Intel UHD Graphics 630 controller instead of to the NVIDIA GeForce 1060 card the way other manufactures do it. If so, then I can see that I will be returning the one I just ordered online from Best Buy.com that I was going to buy instead of the HP Envy 17" I just bought last week and plan on returning for this one. I want the ability to run three (3) additional displays from the Intel UHD Graphics 630 adapter and NVIDIA GeForce 1060 card inside this laptop. If that is not possible, I guess I will have to look at another gaming notebook model. MSI allows this but I want a 17" and not a 15" and I hate having the display ports on the right side of the laptop like the MSI GS63 has. They interfere with moving a mouse and I cannot stand it! The best place would be on the REAR OF THE LAPTOP!!! Why don't these manufacturers think and start designing laptops that make more sense instead of what works easier and cheaper for them all the time? Thank you.
