“I recently made a purchase as a gift and included the 2-year accidental protection. I am listed on the warranty and not the person who is getting the gift. I do not live near the person so how can they receive help if they are not listed.”

• From what I was told, the store honors the replacements even when products are given to someone as gifts or in similar situations. Regardless of owner, product has its warranty.

• The product description above says if you sell or give your laptop to someone you can transfer the warranty. You can call and ask to transfer it to them. I would do that.
