“Does the ice maker turn on and start making ice as soon as the power is connected or does it require a button to be pressed? Does it remember the last button pressed if power failure? It would be great if this could be put on a smart plug with scheduler.”

Thank you for contacting Newair. The ice maker to turn On/Off the machine and does not start running until the ice making cycle is pressed. The ice maker will reset once there is a power failure and is recommended to connected to a direct outlet. Best Regards, Customer Care
