QuestionSo ice cannot stay in the maker? It has to be transferred to the regular freezer? I did not see this anywhere until Bought and in the manual.

QuestionDoes the ice maker turn on and start making ice as soon as the power is connected or does it require a button to be pressed? Does it remember the last button pressed if power failure? It would be great if this could be put on a smart plug with scheduler.

- Answer Thank you for contacting Newair. The ice maker to turn On/Off the machine and does not start running until the ice making cycle is pressed. The ice maker will reset once there is a power failure and is recommended to connected to a direct outlet. Best Regards, Customer Care
