I don't like having to put in credit card but I know of no other way and I have never been charged for anything I did not purchase. So far roku has been very trustworthy so I didn't worry too much about putting in my card. I know this may not be the answer you were looking for but I hope it helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Connect the back of your cable box(hdmi port) to one of the hdmi ports on the back of the tv. You don't have to enter in your cc, that's only for purchasing movies etc on the Roku

When you set up the TV, you can choose whether you have antenna, cable, etc. Just select the appropriate one. As for credit card, you do not need it for the Roku itself. You only would need a credit card to pay for a premium service like HBO. But for something like YouTube, its already part of the package (just select it during the setup process). As long as you choose free apps, you will never need to use your credit card. I mostly use this TV as a TV: I control it via the cable box. But I have enjoyed watching YouTube videos as well...
