Q: QuestionI use ethernet LAN and not wi-fi. May sound dumb, but does it operate on direct ethernet LAN?I'm asking to see if I need to buy an adapter for Wi-Fi, as I will be buying the BVDE 3100 next week at Best Buy.

• A:Answer I did not use wifi because the dvd is right next to my modem so I just hooked it up with the ethernet cable. Its not dumb, it works great and just one less thing to configure because it talks to the modem without me doing any extra work and putting any extra load on my wifi system. As long as you got the extra Ethernet connection on your modem, by all means, use it.

• A:Answer VUDU and Pandora are both on there. I use Pandora all the time myself. There are also many other apps included including Hulu Plus, You Tube, Sirius XM, and a built in FM tuner too.

Q: QuestionMulti Region Blue Ray & DVDI bought this yesterday because it says it had a Mutli Region Zone Free player , first DVD i put in from the UK said region code did not match and the the player has a sticker saying only Region 1 , if only region 1 how can it be Zone Free

Q: Questionwhat is the wifi range of this device?i have a medium sized house the wireless access point is going to be a few rooms away through walls i use wifi in the room this device would be in on a laptop and it works fine but i purchased a wifi smart tv and it would not get adequate speed to connect to streaming services. will this device function well with walls and distance from the wireless access point?

• A:Answer Any wireless product can experience slow connection speeds. It is normally due to the distance away from the router or other electronic devices in the home interfering with the wireless signal. To improve the wireless connection, try moving the router access point closer to the Sony product that is streaming the video. If the router is close enough, using a wired Ethernet connection is suggested instead.
