No, it won’t fit and the way the TV is designed the legs of the stand are not adjustable I had the same problem. I did however come up with a solution. I purchased a shelf from my local home improvement store (Home Depot) and centered the shelf on top of my stand. This provided me with the extra couple of inches that the legs could rest on. Worked like a charm. The TV is stable and works great. The shelf was a pre-cut shelf in their bookcase department. Cost me less than $10. Sorry the attached pix is a bit dark.
