I removed my step up ring by holding it with a piece of rug gripper or you can use the rubber waffled cabinet liner. Because it is thin and sticky you can get a hold of it in order to get it loose. It isn't easy though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem with my filter, I played with it for little while do not squeeze on one side or the other you need to try to hold as much of each part so it doesn't squeeze it there flimsy and turn and at one point it just comes apart. Took me 15 - 20 minutes to get it after I gave up the first 10 minutes and went back to it the next day it finally came apart. Good luck with the dumb design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My step down ring was also stuck to my filter the first time I got it. I had to really twist it off hard, but it won't always get stuck like this. You could also try warming it up with your hands first before twisting to. After getting the ring off for the first time, it becomes easier to get on and off the longer you use it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.sometimes they are difficult to remove. my best suggestion is to try to wrap it in the cleaning cloth for grip and twist tightly. if that isn't enough try using a long nose pliers while still wrapped in the cloth for protection. if one of these works, you could apply a small amount of mineral oil onto a cotton swab and work it around the ring but be cautious not to use to much or get on the filter or you'll get smudges! you could try to use it if it doesn't come apart too, but same concern. good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had same problem I used to have filter wrenches that would handle the job. I just continued to tap the edge like loosening a jar lid and eventually they cam apart. Try wrapping tape around each ring leaving a piece to hold onto and then use the tabs to unscrew the two.
