• A:Answer Acer gives a 90 day warranty but Specs on Best Buy web site says 1 year parts an labor, which isn't true.

Q: QuestionI bought this for my grand daughter, she is 9. She is having trouble with downloading her favorite games. I am not sure why? Is it because it is a chromebook?

• A:Answer well it kind of matters what games she wants, what I recommend you do is you get this app called steam which can let you play free games but most of the games cost money. It is a little tricky getting though so look up a YouTube video " How to download steam on a chromebook " but it is nothing harmful that will hurt the laptop. Also get the free games because the ones you pay for it will be difficult using them because they need really good graphics or the games will be slow, and lagging, sometimes even for free games. • A:Answer Chromebook refers to computers that are designed to run on Google's Chrome platform and not a Windows or Apple iOS platform. You will need to keep that in mind if you alrjeady have software that runs on Microsoft Windows - it will not run on a Chromebook. Notebooks usually refer to computers that run a Windows OS or Apple iOS.

Chromebooks are different from standard laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on board storage but they also are not expensive either. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better.

Per Google, this model is on the Planned list for this support.
