Chromebook refers to computers that are designed to run on Google's Chrome platform and not a Windows or Apple iOS platform. You will need to keep that in mind if you alrjeady have software that runs on Microsoft Windows - it will not run on a Chromebook. Notebooks usually refer to computers that run a Windows OS or Apple iOS.
