• No the keys do not have a back light.. The DVD drive is whisper quiet..

• This particular laptop does not include a backlit keyboard. As for the DVD drive, the drive itself is not loud, however if you are trying to run multiple applications while watching a movie you may experience noise coming from the laptop's cooling fan.
