• I have the i7, 940MX, I can dual screen a game (sins of a solar empire) and watch YouTube for about 5 hrs.

• The battery life is how long your computer can stay up for. 9 hours is around the maximum that it has been awake for. When 9 hours pass you can't use your computer and must charge it to use. :)
