- Answer At least one award-winning writer, John Scalzi, has used a Chromebook to write some of his novels. I would say that's a clear vote of confidence for a Chromebook. I use an older version of this laptop (not a 2-in-1, but this size and general layout) and have used it to write lengthy documents as well.

- Answer Yes you can, but it is a little pointless. Since it is a Chromebook, Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets are available offline, as well as some Google Play Store apps and games, but that is it. Most of the other items you use a laptop for like watching videos or surfing the net require an internet connection.

- Answer You can buy an inexpensive adapter to plug an Ethernet cable into the USB port. We use them at the school I work for.

- Answer Yes. I love it. It does everything a laptop do. Also it's a touch screen. It don't come with Microsoft Office you will have to buy that separate. It only have Google Doc.

QuestionI bought the Acer Spin 15 and also the USB dvd drive. But Spin 15 will not see the usb drive nor will it see the sd card I lnstalled. It is a nice chromebook but it is not doing as advertised to do. It will see a thumb drive but only on one usb port.

- Answer Yes, Chromebooks are very popular with high schools. Chromebooks are different from standard laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on board storage but they also are not expensive either. Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet so you cannot download and install applications or .exe files. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better.

- Answer The short answer is: yes. The long answer: I converted from a Toshiba computer to this exact Chromebook. Using Google Drive Backup and Sync (https://www.google.com/drive/download/), and it moved every folder on my Toshiba and put it in to google drive for me, since there is no hard drive that's the only place they can go.

- Answer The keyboard touch is not loud at all, but not sure that I have had a "loud" key board for a lap top or chrome book, it is back lit and very soft to touch hope this was helpful
