“6700k - gtx1070 32GB I'm coming from a 24inch 60hz 1080p ultrasharp Dell so obviously i want to upgrade my monitor but i'm not sure how gaming will be at this resolution. Do i have turn down my settings to play games at decent FPS?”

Yes you will. Basically pushing 3k on this monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the most demanding games will require you to turn settings down from ultra to very high or high, but probably 95% of games will run at max settings, native res 60+ fps.

I run this monitor off my EVGA 1080 FTW and I have no problems getting 60fps in all the latest games as of today. The only issue you might face is that not all games support the 3440x1440 resolution you might have to do some tinkering to get them to run at the displays native resolution.
