Recently, i had installed ,by the Geek Squad,a Samsung 4 channels wired surveillance system. Before the installation, I had an " in home consultation" ( the Best Buy staff use some abbreviation - which was free) done by a BB surveyor. I strongly recommend have that done. The surveyor, later (24 h) emailed me a report about how the installation has to be done, and the additional items that i need to purchase prior the appointment installation time. The items were: a Netger Power line- to get a better internet signal, and additional cable (4 X 100 ft) in case the cable that came with the system it wont cover the area ). I have the router on the main floor, and the DVR is on the second floor. The crew who installed the system did not used the cable i additionally purchase,so those items i returned . At the time of the installation I did not had a monitor, so the tech guy used one of my TV's to set up the DVR, and make other adjustments that were needed( the views of each camera, the area covered.. etc ). Later, I purchase a small smart TV ( 32 inch) ,that was my choice, which is now connected to the DVR. It has a very clear image, and it's easy to use;any cheap computer monitor will do the job as well. I strongly recommend that before you decide to install a surveillance system, call the Best Buy customer service or go to a store. Talk with a Tech Rep about everything that you need to know, purchase or do prior to the installation. If I knew all of this things i mention before,I believe, that it would had saved me a lot of time.I used Jose's crew, he works with Installation Inc. Charlotte,NC, and they did a wonderful job. I was quite scared for them, because one camera was installed 40 ft high, and it was very hot that day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had them come and install my 4 camer system. Did a great job. Very informative and helpful. Showed me the best angles for coverage. Very professional and courteous. Highly recommended
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Geek Squad comes out and evaluates the premises, but I don't believe the installers are Geek Squad, they may be sub-contractors.
