I selected the light off function. Bad guys don't need to be alerted if they don't see the cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have the option of turning the record light OFF (on by default) when installing. I'd suggest doing so prior to installation as the switch (DIP switch) is under the cover where the batteries go in. When at night, and it detects motion / records, the Infrared light comes on to illuminate the lens. This is different than the true 'recording' light that can come on.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no flash, the night mode on the XT works with IR and the glowing blue indicator light on the XT has the option to be turned off for more stealth recording.
