• I believe you can do what you propose. I KNOW the SIM card can be removed and swapped because I had to have it done to my phone. HOWEVER, there is a caveat. I was swapping cards between two Alcatel manufactured phones both running Android, albeit the new phone using 8.x.x vs 7.x.x on the previous unit. I've not even thought about trying to swap between OS types, so I have zilch experience. Also, I have no experience with your carrier, I use TracFone. YMMV Rhondo
