Sorry about my previous answer, just being lazy. Intel® Core™ i7 8700 (6-Core, 12MB Cache, up to 4.6GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology)

It uses an Intel i7 - xxxx which automatically O.C. up to 4.0Ghz when needed. The unit is well made and runs most VR games well. I may need to update some drivers to get all of these apps to run. Remember, VR studios are still in beta with most of their products so don't let a failure to load ruin your day. A factory order can get you upgrades not available in store.

This is a 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-6700 processor.
