• you have to use the PS4's menu to change the volume. Press the PS button, to get started, this popup menu has seen many iterations, but you should be abel to find the volumes, both input and output.

• You have to go into the settings and adjust volume from there.

• I don't believe you can do it with the controller. There is a small turnable wheel on the side of the headphones for adjusting the volume.
