- Answer Hi there - the RockBox XL will function while plugged int. However we recommend to turn off the speaker while charging, for optimal charging and battery life.

QuestionWhen paired, is one Rockbox left channel and one Rockbox right channel?

- Answer No, each speaker plays the same thing! Your device only controls the volume of the first paired speaker. The volume of the other paired speakers will have to be turned up or down by hand… which can be a good thing so you can have 1 in the house low and the 2 outside turned up and the other 1 in the living room medium volume… I have 4 Rockbox XL speakers!

QuestionHow long do you have to charge it the first time using it? Does it take long to charge each time?

- Answer I recommend letting it charge over night the day you buy it. I'm not suggesting that it is a necessity before using it, I'm referencing what was done, prior to its first use, on our part. It had a sufficient amount of charge when it was first turned on. I do not have reason to believe that the amount of time it takes to completely charge it to 100% is that much more time than any other portable device. Therefore my answer is not at all.
