- Answer Yes it has Bluetooth 4.1LE. and Yes it can Use Google Play with a work around from using Amazon APPstore. APK's are need be installed. just do searches on Youtube to find out how to install Google Play on Fire tablet.

- Answer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_HD go here and compare on the bottom of the page. Basically a little beter of everything in main specs wise. better processor (true 4-core as apposed to a BigLittle setup), Better Graphics processing and higher clock speeds, a little more Ram (1.5GB from 1GB), Bluetooth 4.1LE from 4.0) only thing noticeable worst are the front and rear cameras.
