• A:Answer Hello Ads, Thank you for your question. Yes by default the Fire HD 8 has ads, you can unsubscribe by making a one-time payment. Here are the steps to remove ads: -Go to Manage Your Devices. -Select Devices, and then select your Kindle e-reader or Fire tablet. -Under Special Offers, click Remove offers. A pop-up window then displays the price to remove ads. -Select End Offers and Pay the Fee to proceed. Hope this helps, have a nice day!

The slot for the micro SD card on the Amazon - Fire HD 8 tablet, 8” HD Display, 3GB memory, 32GB, designed for portable entertainment (2024 release) is on the bottom right hand side when you have the tablet with the screen face you in the landscape configuration. Yes, you can use Google on the Fire HD 8 tablet, but here's what you need to know: Out of the box: The Fire HD 8 comes with Amazon's Silk Browser, which allows you to visit Google.com and use Google Search, Gmail (web version), YouTube (web version), Google Maps, and other Google services directly through the browser — no extra setup needed. What's NOT pre-installed: The Google Play Store, Google Chrome, and standalone Google apps (Gmail app, Google Maps app, YouTube app, etc.) are not included by default. The Fire HD 8 runs Amazon's Fire OS and uses the Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play. Your options for Google access: Use Silk Browser (easiest) — Simply open Silk Browser and go to Google.com, YouTube.com, Gmail.com, etc. This works immediately with no setup. Amazon does not offer an official battery replacement service or design the back cover to open easily. the battery is covered by Amazon’s warranty, but there is a major catch regarding how they handle it. Because Amazon does not perform standalone battery replacements for Fire tablets, they will not swap the battery out and send your exact tablet back to you. Instead, if your battery is genuinely defective and you are within your warranty period, Amazon will replace the entire tablet with a new or refurbished equivalent model. Standard Fire HD 8 / HD 8 Plus: Typically comes with a 1-year limited warranty. I hope this info helps!
