- Answer Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, you can use an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max on a Roku television by plugging it into an available HDMI port. The Roku TV's remote is needed for the initial setup of the Fire Stick, but the Fire Stick remote can then be used to control volume, mute, and power functions on the Roku TV. - Answer On some tv's if that port is a powered port. Amazon doesn't recommend this. I do know some people that have it plugged into their tv for power instead of the wall.
