  • QuestionCan you connect to your local library to sign out books?

    Asked by Ginny.

    • Answer Yes it just depends on whether your library supports it. Check their website or call. I included this post for reference... Eligible library books are available in the United States through a digital service called OverDrive. Confirm whether your library branch participates and offers Kindle books. Get a library card and a PIN from your local library. Go to the website of your local public library and search for "Kindle books" or "eBooks." At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account and select the device to which you want to send the book. Connect your device to Wi-Fi and download to the title from the Archived Items or Cloud. Some titles may require USB transfer from your computer to your supported device.

  • QuestionWhen I first got my Oasis it connected to wifi. Now just a few months later it won't connect. I've tried turning off my modem and router then turning them back on and that worked for a few minutes but no longer works. Rebooting doesn't work either.

    • Answer Hello, Gato! If you are having internet issues on your Kindle, here are some troubleshooting tips you can try to resolve the issues: -Confirm other devices connect to the same network. If they are, do they work properly? -Make sure that Airplane mode is off. -Confirm that your device has the latest software version available. -Restart your Kindle and any network devices like modems or routers. -Attempt to connect your Kindle to Wi-Fi again or add a network manually. I hope that helps. Have a great day!

  • QuestionWhat is the largest font size on the Kindle? Suitable for low vision readers?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The kindle goes up to a font size 14. The sizes are different than computer fonts so the 14 on a kindle is huge. If you need readers you wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to see. I personally have it at 5 and its good for me.

  • QuestionIs this compatible with wifi 5g

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello! Thank you for you question about WiFi compatibility on the Kindle Oasis. In the product specs for the Kindle Oasis it states the WiFi compatibility as, "Supports public and private Wi-Fi networks or hotspots that use the 802.11b, g, or n standards with support for WEP, WPA and WPA2 security using password authentication or Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)." I hope that helps clear up which types of WiFi the Kindle Oasis is compatible with. Have a great day!
