- Answer I tried it both ways. Direct Ethernet cable connection or just wifi I did not detect any advantage except that wifi only allowed me placing where I did not have an Ethernet cable.

- Answer You do not need a cd drive. It is web based set up. Follow the instructions and type the numbers that look like this, 000.00.0.0, into your web browser. It wont be zeros....they will be numbers I think starting with 192..... Type it in the place where you usually put in the web address. That will bring you to the website to set it up.
