“I want to buy the pre-order for Anthem, but am unsure if I'll need to use Origin to install it. I'd rather not use Origin if possible and just have the game installed on my PC, so was wondering if not using Origin was an option at all.”

• Origin will be the only way to play the game on PC. This is a fair assumption to make about any new EA game that comes out much like Blizzard, Ubisoft, Epic and now Bethesda all using their own respective launcher platforms.

• Yes, has to be through origin. Much like how destiny had to be through battlenet.
