It recharges itself once the power is restored.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The batteries recharge on their own, but have a limited life. After about a year or so, unplug it from the wall every month to see if it retains a charge (make sure you turn any equipment off that is sensitive to sudden power cuts, such as a computer). When it no longer holds a charge for more than 5 minutes, replace the battery or buy a new one. I never buy a new battery, because the price difference between that and replacing the unit is minimal, in my opinion. But that's just my opinion.
