- Answer My IT person said will give me approximately 20 minutes of use for my phone, TV and internet if power is lost. It does not charge it is only a back up battery.

Questiondoes the battery go in any particular way new battery does not seen to be charging .should red or green light be on while charging

The battery connections should fit securely on the battery and they would be different sizes so only one could fit on one connector. The unit should be green while charging. If it is red it likely means the battery isn't connected properly. I would double check that the battery connections are secure to the battery. - Answer I wouldn’t use it outdoors. However, this is really a question you should be asking the manufacturer. Additionally, they will need more specific information pertaining to what exactly you plan to plug into it and how long you need it to be able to run on battery power if the electricity goes out.

- Answer There is no way to know without the power rating of your tv, but It could work for the Tv you would have to manually shut the tv down during the outage. Depending on your television's power rating. You would have to check its specs and match it up to the rating on the battery backup before you purchase. Check the manufacturers' website or your owner's manual for the power ratings.

QuestionCan a router be plug into the battery back-up and surge protector?

- Answer It can be plugged into for battery backup, but there is no way for it to tell the router to shutdown. It would supply power during short outages for the router stay connected during short outage. (Like 10-15minutes)

- Answer Yes, I plugged my NAS, Netgear router, network switches, etc... into this APC BACK-UPS BN650M1 650VA and main cord power cord of its into my outlet, then I pulled out the power cord for 15min for testing. I verified all components were still up and running!

- Answer I was told this was sufficient for 2-3 hours for one computer and router. The next larger system would be good for 12 or so hours. APC BACK-UPS BN650M1 650VA

QuestionHow loud are the audible alarms and can they be permanently silenced? I would be using this in my bedroom and don't want it waking me up during the night.

- Answer it is a medium soft beep, slightly high pitch, just loud enough to notice from 3 feet away on a desk surface, behind a PC. not obnoxiously loud. I do not know if the beep can be turned off, sorry.

- Answer This hasn't happened to us with this particular (newly purchased) model, but we have a similar one hooked up to our modem and router (don't forget the router if it's separate) and we can go an hour or more with full internet if power goes out. Also keeps the modem/router from rebooting every time there's a minor power glitch.

- Answer Yes, but it wont be able to keep a TV powered on for very long at all. This particular Back-Up is recommended for computer and small electronics. They make Battery Back-ups for TV's and DVR receivers but they are way more expensive and much larger.

- Answer Thank you for your interest in our products. The power in Watts is the real power drawn by the equipment. Volt-Amps is called the "apparent power" and is the product of the voltage applied to the equipment times the current drawn by the equipment. However, it is a standard in the industry that the Watt rating is approximately 60% of the VA rating, this being the typical power factor of common loads.
