“would the cellular service just be the one i curently use with my phone.Or is there an extra charge with ipad?”

This question is for: Apple - 12.9-Inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular - 256GB (Unlocked) - Space Gray

iPad Cellular is a separate plan. You can convert your regular phone plan to iPad plan but nobody can call you on the number unless they call you using the internet via Facetime, etc. Can only text you via online messaging ap like iMessage or FB messenger, etc.

If you get an unlock iPad Pro then you can choose any carrier. You will have to pay the data service when you activate it.

At Best Buy you can get an unlocked version for less than paying for service with specific companies, like Verizon.
