Depends on how long you talk for, Apple says that they should last about 2 hours of talk time.

The battery seems to last about 4 hours so you would need to put them in the case for a recharge if you need them over 4 hours.

They have a long delay connecting to your phone when you remove them from the case. Most callers will hang up it takes them so long to connect. Once connected they are great for phone use.

I have a blue tooth system in my car but talking to friends, and just my own experience walking around with it and my wife’s experience using it that way in her lab and office, simply the best. As others have said while driving, definitely only have one in.
