• You can not back up iPhone or iPad to TC. It back up your Mac computer only.

• I don't think you can do it directly...but if you can every once in a while backup your iPad via iTunes to your computer it should back up everything when your Time Capsule automatically backup or you could just manually update it after you backup your iPad via iTunes. Hopefully that helps. I don't know if there is a way around it.

• No, it won't directly back up an iPad to back up data, you need a Mac.

• Far as I can tell no. I don't think Ipad can write directly to USB media. I may be wrong though

• Unfortunately you are not able to backup your iPad directly to the Apple Time Capsule. You can wirelessly back up to iTunes on your Mac and then set up Time Machine to automatically back up your Mac.
