No. It’s no different than “find my iPhone,” and it’s actually better since AigTags use other AirTags to find their precise location.

Looks like it works with Find My app, so distance is not a factor. Apparently iPhone 11 and up, with a U1 chip, will support Precision Finding, which bring you right to the AirTag is it close by.
