“If the unit is placed in a car and someone has an iPhone 11 will they know it is in their car. Will it come up automatically on their phone or do they have to press find my iPhone”

If you forgot it your phone will send you a notification that you left it behind and it will tell you the address you left it at but you can also see where it is on find my I phone

But I did read 6 months ago that they r working i on the air tags so that u can’t trace ppl cars with them. It’s against their stalking policy or something but I don’t know if they ever d finished that or not. For the tiles they only will notify u where they r if ur in the range of how far it goes. I think the furthest it goes is 300 feet. U could look into tho. Maybe there’s a app to tell if ur being traced with one
