• A:Answer No, it does not ship unlocked. It is the GSM/CDMA Version, so if you do manage to get it unlocked, there is a good possibility that it would work. You will want to verify if the bands supported are the ones used by your preferred carrier.

• A:Answer no, it is locked to sprint. you can only use a Boost locked IPhone and they aren't selling anymore. You can only get them through boost. We were using Boost when we bought this phone and now we have to switch to Sprint. We tried to activate it with Boost.

• A:Answer If Sprint unlocks it and if the radio bands of the Indian carriers are same as the ones used by Sprint then yes. Sad part is Sprint won't unlock it unless you are their customer.
