Please try again later.Yes - AT&T insist on you having a data plan if you have a smart phone including an iphone. the only way I know of to get around this is to stop using it as a phone and only use it on wifi (kind of dumb but not as stupid as it sounds if you have Skype) or more likely to use it with a minimal data plan - 200mb a month or similar.
