• A:Answer No! It is locked to total wireless. The only way to unlock this phone is to take on total wireless service for one year. If you keep your account in good standing after a year of service you can ask the company to unlock the phone.

They typically offer monthly plans that you can pay for straight out of a credit card. Customer service is one of those situations where you call, get routed to a call center, and speak to someone whose English is not their first language. So, to answer your question yes, you will be able to use it on Wi-Fi. If you buy this phone it will come new in box with all of the accessories and a total wireless Sim kit. It will be up to you to choose whether or not to take their service. Keep in mind these phones are locked to total wireless so you will not be able to stick a Sim card from your preferred carrier in the phone to start using it. This should simply be used as a streaming device connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot. That is why I bought it.
