“Is there an on/off switch for when you're done charging it or do you literally need to take the phone out of the case for it not to charge?”

There is no on/off switch.

No switch, you would need to remove the phone from the case.

No switch at all. It is a smart case that charges your phone until it dies

From what I understand about mine... They both charge together, when removed from outlet, the charger keeps charging until dead then you have your phones battery. There is no on or off which I dislike!
