• In 2014 the Mac mini lost the ability to upgrade RAM. Only 2012 models and earlier are RAM upgradable. Models that are upgradable will vary in the amount of RAM that they can be upgraded to. My 2012 was successfully upgraded to 16 GB of RAM.

• Nope. ram is hard soldered to the mother board. if you think you need more purchase a bigger one now.
