MacBooks stopped adding CD/DVD drives years ago, and while I was of the camp that thought my life would come to an end without it, Apple changed my mind. While I have two Apple external CD/DVD drives, I rarely use them and my bet is that you'll find over a short period of time your need for DVD's will soon be a thing of the past. With my CD/DVD usage at around a dozen times a year, why carry around a thicker machine with a DVD player that just adds weight, but that's used rarely. With this MacBook Pro model, you'll enjoy the portability yet full featured computing capabilities that'll make you forget quickly why we ever used CD's in the first place. And yes, I'm still surprised over my lack of actually needing an option that isn't worth the hassle.
