I bought the phone as used and unlocked. So for me, there no activation fee to any wireless of my choice. I’m guessing when you buy a phone with monthly fee and tied to specific carrier then you’re tied up. My advice to you buy a phone full price if you can and unlocked. The phone is in generic box and not in original box. Not with original accessories, it comes with SIM card pin and the phone itself is original. With no visible marks or dents or scratches.
