• You can search but there is no guide like you might be thinking. Some apps like DirectV have a guide and the TV app on the Apple TV also can act as a guide but the network or service has to allow it. For instance, Netflix does NOT participate and it is extremely annoying but a Netflix issue as they refuse to support it. You can also use a service such as JustWatch to find shows and where to watch them.

• Apple TV is just a streaming service, doesn’t give you cable or tv programming unless you subscribe to HULU.
